The writing on the wall. Village a few hours outside of Agadir on the way to Tafraoute. This kufi calligraphy was painted on a wall of what I guess was a residential home. I had my friend, Mostafa, stop along our journey so I could look at it with more detail. There are many types of Arabic calligraphy styles but Kufi is my favorite; it was the dominant writing of holy men during the dawning of Islam.

Dear Christine,
This is an amazing photo.
I also love Kufi style. I’m practicing it every now and then.
I haven’t been to Morocco yet.
Your photo made me want to cross the ocean and get there right now.
I can feel the desert and smell the camel;-) So lovely.
Thanks for sharing.
Love to you.
